The Ceredigion Coast Path is a 60 mile
walking holiday around Cardigan Bay and along one of the
most scenic coastal areas of Wales.
The path includes clifftops, beaches, sandy bays charming coastal settlements and scenic seaside resorts in an area rich in Welsh language and culture.
Ceredigion’s
coastline is special. You enjoy walking along Heritage
and National Trust owned coastline where you gaze over
Britain’s first Marine Heritage Coast renowned for bottlenose
dolphins, seals and porpoise, and sections of Cardigan
Bay’s Special Area of Conservation because of their importance
for wildlife.
You will pass resorts with award-winning beaches, scenic
National Trust properties, New Quay and nearby Cei Bach – Dylan Thomas
lived and wrote here; Aberaeron - where over a quarter
of houses are ’listed’ of
special architectural or historic significance and the
University town of Aberystwyth - home of the National Library
of Wales.
At New Quay there is also the option
of an extra day or so walking the Dylan
Thomas Trail from
the harbour.
The Ceredigion Coast Path also links two of Wales’s National Trails. The 60 mile coastpath continues northward from Cardigan from it’s junction with the Pembrokeshire Coast Path and links with the Dyfi Estuary National Nature Reserve at Ynyslas, a few steps from Glyndwr's Way
